| National Chairman
CHAIRMAN - Bill Barton

bill.barton@euromaster-wl.co.uk |
I succeeded the late, great Walter Legal, as European Masters
Chairman in 1999, I hope that I have been as successful a
Chairman as Walter was as a weightlifter. I know I have appointed
a strong European Masters Committee who will support me, and
therefore serve you all well in Masters weightlifting.
VICE CHAIRMAN - Anton Huber

anton.huber@euromaster-wl.co.uk |
Anton became a Vice President of the Committee when it was
reorganized in Kazincbarciks, Hungary, in 1999.
Anton is a tireless worker for the Committee and as an IWF
CAT I REFEREE he has refereed more weightlifting sessions
at the 2002 Championships in Stockholm, than any other official.
He is also Chairman of the IWF Masters Hall of Fame Committee.
In his brief breaks from working as an official at the championships,
Anton still competes in the Masters program and has won gold,
silver, and bronze medals in both the World and European Masters
Championships. TOP
VICE CHAIRMAN - Nikolaos Galiatsatos

nikolaos.galiasatos@euromaster-wl.co.uk |
Nikilaos was made a Vice President of the Committee at the
championship in Teplice, Czech Republic, in 2001.
Nikolas competed as a member of the Greek Weightlifting team
at the first Junior World Championship in Marseille, France,
in the early 1970’s. Believe it or not, I was there
as a spectator and saw him compete. He still competes in the
World and European Masters Championships and regularly wins
a medal. He was also responsible for the 1999 European Masters
going to Kefalonia, and he actually organized the 2000 IWF
World Masters on the island of Kefalonia, Greece, where he
lives. TOP
SECRETARY / TRESURER - Kurt A Rosenberger

kurt.rosenberger@euromaster-wl.co.uk |
Kurt is the European Masters Committee Secretary and Treasurer.
In addition , at every championship, he takes on the enormous
task of ensuring we have 3 referees, a Technical Controller,
and a Jury. With approximately 35 sessions at Masters championships,
this is a very important job. No one could do it better.
You will also see Kurt on the weightlifting platform, and
winning medals. He is possibly only two or three medals away
from the European Masters Hall of Fame. TOP
TECHNICAL OFFICER - Jan Hinrichsen

jan.hinrichsen@euromaster-wl.co.uk |
Jan is a policeman in Stockholm, Sweden. In fact if you had
to guess his profession, I imagine you would take one look
at him and say – “a policemen”. At over
120 kgs body weight and 2 M in height, it is no surprise.
Jan works tirelessly at every championship, he is also an
IWF CAT I Referee and was appointed as the European Masters
Technical Officer in 1999. Injury has prevented Jan from competing
as often as he would have liked over the past 5 years, nevertheless,
I am sure you will see lots more of him on the platform in
the future. TOP
DOPING CONTROL - Tony Flood
New photo coming soon!!
tony.flood@euromaster-wl.co.uk |
Tony is an IWF CAT I Referee and possibly the most experienced
official in Masters Weightlifting. He has officiated at many
IWF Senior World Championships, EWF Senior European Championships,
Olympic Games, and Commonwealth Games.
A good competitor, a medal winner in all but one European
Masters Championships, he is also in charge of Doping Control
for the European Masters Committee. We are fortunate to have
someone with his experience, who can referee, serve on a Jury,
and smoothly guide athletes to doping control. TOP
